A Study of Interpretation of Mantoux Test in Pediatrics age Group (5-18 Years of Age)

Objective: To establish the role of Mantoux test in diagnosis tuberculosis children.Methods: The age group selected for this study was 5-18 years and period Aug 2018 to Feb 2020.Children attending our OPD with c/o fever & weight loss > 2 months were advised undergo along CBC ESR , CHEST X-RAY Sputum Examination AFB after taking detailed history including contact clinical examination .Result: Out 100 cases 64 (64%) be found suffering from disease. Rest 36(36%) improved symptomatic treatment antibiotic treatment.According these children divided into two i.e,5-10 10-18 years. It showed association between more 5-10 comparison 10- 18 .Conclusion: Childhood is an indirect index prevalence community. Clinical presentation may atypical leads delay diagnosis.
